How to Disable 'Word Help' Whenever I use Microsoft Word 2007 now, after typing a few things 'Word Help' pops up without pressing F1. It's due to a glitch in my Razer Lycosa board and I don't want to wait a month to get a new one. Do Microsoft honestly think that the end user is automatically going to know the ins and outs of every single feature in Word? What worse is, the online help is basically the same information as the offline help, only with a handful of 1-min long videos thrown in. The offline help included with Word 2000 was a thousand times better than this. You can use it to write and print school assignments. Depending on your grade level, your teacher could ask you to research a topic and write a report with proper citations and footnotes! Also, Word has some amazing editing capabilities.
